End-user Flashing Tool and Cable.
Welcome to PDM from RacingLine.
The Power Delivery Module allows you to access the full RacingLine Performance Software calibration suite for your car. Quickly and safely reflash your Engine Control Unit (ECU) and DSG Transmission Control Unit (TCU) from the convenience of your own home.
What is PDM?
RacingLine's renowned Performance Software is powering thousands of cars all over the globe.
Power Delivery Module is our latest user option to further enhance your Performance Software experience. PDM is our end-user tool to allow you install the RacingLine calibrations yourself. By purchasing the PDM Tool, you'll get access to exactly the same full Software Suite as your RacingLine Performance Dealer does.
But the difference is that the PDM tool allows you to install, remove, upgrade or change your calibration yourself, any time, any where.
Of course the PDM tool is not required to enjoy our Performance Software, and won't be everyone's choice. Our expert network of trusted Software Specialists remains on-hand to supply and install your calibration for you if you prefer.
Why choose PDM?
Instead of going to your local dealer, PDM gives you the option to take full control of your RacingLine Software.
Install your software, upgrade to the next stage of tuning, vary between fuel octanes and even flash the car back to stock. All from the comfort of your own garage or driveway, at any time.
And, best of all, as all RacingLine Performance Software comes with our Free Upgrades programme, there’s zero cost to switch between any of the calibrations available for your vehicle.
How does PDM work?
RacingLine’s PCM flashing process couldn’t be easier. The beautiful billet PCM Tool plugs securely into the car’s OBD-2 port, using your Windows laptop or tablet to access the full suite of RacingLine Performance Software available for your vehicle.
The system automatically reads your VIN number and ECU type for instant identification. Select which RacingLine Performance Software calibrations is right for your car’s hardware and fuel grade used. Then quickly and easily re-flash your ECU and/or TCU.
How to purchase PDM.
To access this flexible world of home flashing, you’ll need to purchase the PDM Flashing Tool and Cable from a RacingLine Authorised Dealer. Now you have the tool, you will then need to buy the Performance Software itself, in the form of a Digital Access Key for your car. Choose ECU, TCU or a bundle deal for both.
Once authorised, the intuitive PDM Install Software will automatically detect your vehicle's ECU and VIN number, and present you with the list of compatible engine ECU and transmission tunes available. Choose your tune, and in a matter of minutes the system will guide you through the process to transform your vehicle’s performance. It couldn’t be simpler.
PDM isn't available for all ECU types right now.
We have our three most popular engine types available to work with PDM:
2.0 TSI EA888 gen.4
2.0 TSI EA888 gen.3
2.5 TFSI EA855 EVO
Friends and family interested? Once you have purchased your PDM unit, as it isn’t tied to a specific vehicle VIN, you can then use the tool as many times as you like, on as many different cars as you wish.
Simply get back in touch with your RacingLine Software Dealer, purchase the Performance Software Digital Access Key for the next car, and as soon as it’s authorised you’ll be able to flash that vehicle, plus any previously flashed ones, in exactly the same way via the PDM system.
Return to Stock.
The PDM system stores your stock factory ECU calibration on the RacingLine Server. Meaning you can return your vehicle back to factory ECU programming at any time, quickly and easily.
Upgraded your car’s hardware? Once all the minimum hardware requirements are met, as RacingLine Performance Software comes with our Free Upgrades programme, there will be no further charges to upgrade to the next levels of available calibrations ever again.
Headed to the dragstrip? Or taking a long trip to an area where you can’t guarantee fuel quality? Simply plug in your PDM to switch to a different fuel octane file for your stage of tuning. Most RacingLine Performance Software calibrations include options of 95, 98 or 102 RON.
RacingLine’s own intuitive PDM Install Software is included with your PDM purchase and will run on your Windows 10 laptop or tablet. This Install Software allows the PDM Tool to communicate with your vehicle's ECU to flash software tunes, upgrade, return to stock and update.

Q: I've successfully flashed my own car. Now I want to flash another car with my PDM.A: Once you have purchased your PDM unit, as it isn’t tied to a specific vehicle VIN, you can then use the kit as many times as you like, on as many different cars as you wish. Simply get back in touch with your RacingLine Dealer, purchase the Performance Software Digital Access Key for the next car, and as soon as it’s authorised you’ll be able to flash that vehicle, plus any previously flashed ones, in exactly the same way via the PDM system. There's no limit to how many vehicles you flash with your PDM!
Q: Is there an Install Guide to help me use PDM?A: Yes of course. We have an online guide, with a link to a printable version if you prefer.
Q: I identified my ECU/TCU and the OEM+ Portal said “No products are available for this controller”, why?A: This indicates that either the RacingLine Software team have not yet loaded your exact ECU software to the server, or we need to change a setting on your account to make it available to you. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our team will come back to you as soon as possible.
Q: Can I use public Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot to flash my car?A: We highly recommend that you flash somewhere with secure, strong Wi-Fi / internet, with access to power for a battery charger and your laptop.
Q: Where can I get advice on which tuning stages & fuel types suit my car & country?A: Your starting point is always your RacingLine Dealer. Not only will they be the ones supplying you with the PDM Kit and Software Digital Access key, but they are the experts in your car/engine type and local fuel types. They will be happy to give you great advice on what suits your car, your driving and your market.
Q: How do I download the PDM Install Software?A: Your confirmation email with Digital Access Key will have a link to the PDM Install Software download. Or, follow this link to download:
Q: My car may already be tuned, what should I do?A: If you believe your car may already be tuned, we always recommend to first flash the calibration variant listed as “Stock”. This puts the ECU back into its factory format. Then start the flashing process again to select your performance calibration. This will ensure that we are starting with a clean OEM calibration.
Q: Where can I purchase my PDM Kit and Software Digital Access Key?A: The RacingLine Dealer Network will supply the PDM Kit, and set up your Software Access Key purchases.
Q: How long does it take to flash my car?A: The entire process shouldn’t take you any more than an hour. However, it would be wise to allocate plenty of time and not to flash just before you need to use the car, just in case there are any unforeseen issues.
Q: I Identified my ECU/TCU, the only option I see is “Factory Update”, what is that?A: Manufacturers regularly update your cars’ software via the dealer network. We may need you to update the software on your car before programming the performance calibrations. You will need to flash the OEM update first, then start the flash process again to flash your performance calibration.
Q: How long does it take to activate my Digital Access Key after purchase?A: Your supplying dealer will register your purchase within 2-3 working days (and often quicker if you request it). You will then receive your Digital Access Key via email, to the email address you have supplied. Keep an eye on your junk folders if you haven't seen the email arrive.
