STAGE 2
REQUIRED & OPTIONAL PARTS
To achieve our Stage 2 upgrade your MQB vehicle will require necessary supporting hardware in order to produce our quoted power figures. Below are the minimum requirements of hardware you will need along with further "option" parts that are not vital to the tune but will offer added advantages:
R600 Cold Air Intake - our R600 provides advanced air flow, improving performance figures as well as offering incredible filtration properties. The additional airflow is an essential fit to achieve Stage 2 power levels.
Due to the higher efficiency of combustion (and in turn increased flow of exhaust gasses) created from our Stage 2 tune it becomes a necessity to fit our High Flow exhaust downpipe and sports catalyst. Improving the flow of exhaust gasses removes the standard restriction to allow the engine to hit its potential.
Our high flow 90° Turbo inlet pipe helps to improve airflow from the intake to the turbo entry. Offering a faster and less disruptive channel for incoming airflow results in a higher efficiency of air delivery through the turbo, intercooler and finally on entry to the throttle body.
Replace the disruptive factory turbo muffler delete with our smooth flowing replacement. Precision machined from a solid aluminium billet to complete your high-flow intake
To compliment our R600 Intake system we also offer a replacement air intake
to turbo entry hose. Our four ply silicone hose provides a superior and less disruptive flow when compared to the factory part and completes the perfect entry path for incoming air.
DSG TUNE - OPTION PART
With improved performance figures thanks to our Stage 1 conversion we also recommend a DSG calibration to accurately set the clamping pressure of your clutch pack, as well as fine tuning gear selection to ensure a smooth and refined drive both on and off track. Learn more about our DSG tune here.
ORGANIC CLUTCH KIT (MT) - OPTION PART
We recommend an upgraded Clutch Kit (for vehicles with a manual transmission) at Stage 2 power levels and above. With the increased torque and bhp a higher level of stress will be placed on the standard clutch plate. An organic clutch kit offers a higher clamping pressure over the OE unit and benefits from organic friction material on the pressure plate making the unit far more durable.
