The factory intercooler on the A5-platform 2.0TFSI EA113 cars (such as Golf 5 GTI, Golf 6R, Scirocco R, Audi S3 8P) just is not able to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, resulting in significant power losses during hard driving.
By consistently reducing intake air temperatures (IAT), heat soak is minimised delivering increased performance again and again. No need for the recovery cool-down times needed for the production intercooler.
Our development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. This has allowed us to achieve increased size without increased lag.
Included in the kit are 2 high-strength silicon boost hoses and a CNC-machined billet push-fit adaptor to fit the factory boost pipe.
