RacingLine partners with Speedmachine and World RallyCross

On a sunny weekend at the end of May, RacingLine hosted its biggest public presence of the year at Silverstone Circuit. The team were again invited to partner with the Speedmachine festival having run the event on behalf of Volkswagen R last year.

With the Speedmachine Festival as the main event of the weekend, home to the UK rounds of the adrenaline-fuelled FIA World Rallycross Championship, RacingLine also delivered hundreds of track experience rides in their Track Experience fleet of modified Volkswagens and Audis around the legendary Silverstone circuit across the two days.

To top it off, a vast garage display – the company’s biggest and best yet – drew in the crowds of petrolheads in attendance from across the world.

Not only that, RacingLine also hosted its annual International Dealer Conference during the weekend. Over 100 dealers and importers travelled from all over the world to learn what was new and upcoming from RacingLine on the hardware and software sides of the business for the 12 months ahead. The International Dealer Conference was held in the venue’s cutting-edge F1 Press Auditorium – a rare treat for guests to get access to. Here, the team presented the growth and successes of the brand over the last year, as well as touching on some exciting new products that we can expect to see in the not-too-distant future.

The RacingLine Track Experience cars and team of race-drivers sped all of the company’s dealers around the track at high speed, plus around 300 members of the public. In addition, their Golf GTI TCR race car gave a few privileged guests the ride of a lifetime.

In all, the RacingLine cars completed over 2,000 track miles non-stop around the circuit between them, and even with Stage 3 cars in the fleet, none missed a beat. A testament to RacingLine’s motorsport engineering-led approach to its products and software.

As the sun set and the tracks for the RacingLine Track Experience and the FIA World Rallycross closed each day, visitors and guests were then treated to headline music acts like Sean Paul, Basement Jaxx, Reef and many others. Overall, Speedmachine was a spectacular event for all who attending, and is rapidly becoming a ‘must-attend’ part of the year’s motoring calendar.

Paul Bellamy, Senior Vice President of IMG Motorsports, the promoter of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, presented by Monster Energy, added: “We are pleased to be partnering with RacingLine to offer fans the opportunity to experience the thrill of a hot lap of Silverstone. “It’s not every day you get the chance to follow in the tyre tracks of famous racing drivers on the Silverstone circuit, but with RacingLine at SpeedMachine you can.”
