Welcome to PCM.
RacingLine's Plug-In Tuning Solution
2.5 TFSI EVO : RS Q3 (F3)
400PS non-OPF models (DAZA)
We get it. Not everyone's ready to tune their car right now. Whether its because of warranty concerns, your car is leased, or simply that a 40-50ps boost is enough for now, our PCM could be your perfect answer!
PCM is RacingLine's new tuning solution, developed exclusively for the Audi RS Q3 with the 2.5 TFSI Evo engine (without OPF/GPF fitted).
PCM stands for ‘Power Control Module’ and is our way of bringing your DAZA-engined RS Q3 to life with more power and torque. Easily installed, and easily removed at any time without a trace. And, each PCM comes with a free upgrade to one of our full calibrations whenever you are ready!
How PCM works.
PCM works on a standalone PCB, which communicates with the factory ECU. Developed by RacingLine's own in-house calibration experts over the past 12 months, it allows the car to safely increase power and torque levels.
Of course, we know that many customers will want to have a full ECU calibration as soon as it's available - and who can blame them?
So uniquely, RacingLine will give any PCM customer a free upgrade to our OEM+ calibrations as soon as they are available, whenever you are ready - as long as you purchase your PCM unit from one of our OEM+ dealers.
Let's talk numbers....
Note - factory power outputs for this engine may vary by model dependant on model. But the RacingLine PCM tuned figures apply to all versions.

PCM PERFORMANCE
How PCM operates.
PCM works by using our in-house developed calibration running on our standalone PCB, which communicates in parallel with the factory ECU.
This communication route allows the PCM to safely optimise a variety of electronic sensor signals in real time, interfacing between the engine controls and its sensors. With multiple channels such as charge air pressure, ignition and fuelling controlled by the PCM computer, the result is increased power and torque across the whole powerband of the engine.
We have carried tens of thousands of development miles of rigorous testing on our in-house dyno, on road and on track with numerous calibrations, across multiple cars and different hardware installations, allowing us to find the sweet spot for engine performance, drivability and safety.
PCM PERFORMANCE
Track-proven
Every product that carries the RacingLine logo has been thoroughly track-tested. And PCM is no exception.
Why? Because only in hard track-use can we push the car's engine to the limits, again and again. It's reassuring to know that we've done the hard work so you can get on with enjoying your car!
PCM PERFORMANCE
Hardware Compatible
Right from the outset, PCM has been developed in conjunction with RacingLine's latest Performance Parts range.
Whilst PCM has been developed to work perfectly on an unmodified stock car, it has also been calibrated to self-adapt to take full advantage of any RacingLine upgrades.
So adding a RacingLine intake, air filer or our Turbo Inlet Systems will really let the PCM extract the most from your engine.
PCM PERFORMANCE
What fuel grade can I use?
PCM has been designed to work with different fuel grades around the world, just like factory calibration does. Meaning it's perfectly safe, whatever grade fuel you put in your tank.
However, using a lower fuel grade will result in less power, meaning that a premium octane fuel is always advised.
PCM PERFORMANCE
How does PCM compare to a RacingLine ECU calibration?
We're completely honest about this: the PCM calibration is not as sophisticated as our OEM+ calibrations are.
To keep the car smooth, safe and reliable, PCM's power levels have to be kept lower than our OEM+ Stage 1 calibrations.
But of course, you'll love the power boost you get from PCM, combined with the drivability and efficiency gains. And with our free upgrade program, you can have a free OEM+ calibration as soon as it's available if that's the way you want to go!
PCM INSTALL
Can I install at home?
PCM has a simple installation, providing you have a basic level of mechanical knowledge. The PCM unit sits above the battery, using the provided carbon fibre battery mount and hardware, while the wiring loom is plugged into existing sensors found at the top of the engine.
Or for full peace of mind, all of our approved PCM dealers around the world can also install this for you, subject to labour charges.
PCM INSTALL
Is PCM removable?
PCM is completely removable, with no changes to be made to the hardware or software of the original car.
We also include a PCM blanking unit, which plugs into the existing wiring loom and removes the PCM calibration, without having to remove any of the installed hardware.
PCM INSTALL
What's in the kit?
Simple. Everything you need for install, in a kit specifically built for your car, whether fitted with the 2.0 TSI, 2.5 TFSI or 2.0 TDI engine.
As well as the PCM box with its beautiful billet case, a carbon fibre bracket mounts it perfectly on top of the battery. The wiring loom is to the perfect length for your car. Lastly, a deactivation plug is included, should you ever choose to temporarily disconnect your PCM.
PCM INSTALL
Does PCM affect warranty?
It's very clear - any tuning modification on your vehicle can invalidate your manufacturer's engine & powertrain warranty. So if your dealer sees the PCM fitted, then they'd be entitled to reject a warranty claim on the engine or drivetrain.
Of course, PCM is fully removable. With it removed, the car is returned to true stock, but whilst PCM leaves minimal trace to the ECU, it's important to understand that there is no guarantee that this product is warranty safe and is installed at the customers’ own risk.

Find your local OEM+ dealer
When the time comes for your free of charge upgrade to our OEM+ calibrations, you'll need to able to take your car to the RacingLine OEM+ dealer who supplied your PCM module.
It's important to be clear that, although all RacingLine dealers can supply the PCM unit, if that dealer is not OEM+ approved, then they will not be able to provide your free of charge upgrade.
