Role Description:
RacingLine is recruiting for a Technical Sales and Support expert to join our growing Software/Calibration division. This busy role will act as the central coordination between our global dealer network, our end-user customers and our technical calibration team, and seek to develop and expand all sales opportunities. Our RacingLine Software programme is a key part of the RacingLine Performance offering for VWG vehicles with strong growth ambitions around the world, and the successful candidate will be central to this exciting period of expansion.
The scope of this role is broad and varied, combining a mixture of technical, sales and marketing skills to make this a unique and extremely rewarding role for the right individual. RacingLine will recruit for this role with an open mind, expecting the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate experience in some, but likely not all of the following attributes. We will offer ‘on the job’ training to equip and develop our new staff member with the skills required.
This role will involve:
Relationships, Internal & External:
-
Liaison with our Calibration Engineering team to coordinate development & launches of new calibration applications & vehicle platforms,

Constant review of incoming Software ticket system from our Dealers and prioritisation of workloads with our Calibration Engineers,
-
Establish strong relationships with RacingLine’s Software dealers worldwide, acting as their first point of contact to support aspects such as pricing, availability, and general technical questions,
-
Work with customers, internal and external, to coordinate vehicle-specific software development,
-
Seek all opportunities to expand sales within our existing RacingLine Software Dealer Network,
-
Target the growth of RacingLine’s Software Dealer Network via recruitment of new partners and working with our current Importers.
Technical Skills (training will be given):
-
Operate RacingLine dyno for development or solving external customer issues,
-
Checking datalogs from customers/dealers/own development vehicles and feedback information to Calibration Engineering team,
-
Gain a competence in vehicle diagnostic system operation,
-
Driving & testing on-road and track of a variety of vehicles,
-
Develop an expertise for assessing & trouble-shooting development vehicles.
Commercial/Marketing/Communications (training can be given):
-
Objective to review and hit monthly & annual RacingLine Software sales budgets,
-
Review budget status with management team and finance department.

Ongoing review of social media channels & incoming emails and reply to messages and comments as necessary,
-
Prepare and send regular dealer email updates to communicate new software products, pricing, model applications,
-
Post any relevant updates relating to RacingLine Software across our Social Media channels,

Development and maintenance of RacingLine Calibration listings database, recorded power outputs & any supporting hardware requirements,

Develop a commercial awareness of the VWG-tuning market-conditions, the activities of competitor brands, pricing actions & product offerings.

Good IT skills with understanding of Microsoft programs, and confidence to work with a database and other IT packages (although not programming)

Physically able to strap cars onto dyno (training will be provided)

Hours of Work
09.00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. No overtime payments are made but if requested and authorized, time off in lieu can be taken in recognition of extra days or hours worked.
